  • Inquiry Editorial Board Application

    Inquiry, the Journal of the Virginia Community Colleges, invites applications for two vacant positions on the editorial board. Our editors provide a voluntary service in evaluating and approving article submissions on a continuous basis, providing the Managing Editor with evaluative comments to be shared with authors, and assisting the Managing Editor in the active solicitation of submissions.

    Inquiry editorial board members must be full-time VCCS employees with faculty rank (teaching, professional, or administrative). The position is open to all full-time faculty; however, candidates are especially sought who possess an undergraduate or graduate degree in English, journalism, library science, media or communication studies, or a related field. Editors should have high academic expectations and standards, close attention to detail, and a commitment to action that ensures the quality of the professional journal of the VCCS.

    Applicants must have the approval of their current dean or vice president to serve.

    Current appointments will begin in the fall 2020 semester. Appointments are for one year and may be renewed annually.
