DEADLINE: Virginia Career Coach Certification (VCCC) - Fall 2020

NOTE: This course is only open to employees of the Virginia Community College System and its partners. Registrations are subject to approval.

Based on the 12 competency areas outlined in the National Career Development Association (NCDA) Career Development Facilitator curriculum, the Virginia Career Coach Certification (VCCC) program provides coaches at Virginia’s community colleges with the frameworks and tools needed for effective career coaching. VCCC requires 40 hours of training consisting of 10 hours of face-to-face training, split into two 5-hour parts, and 30 hours of online training modules. Hours earned through VCCC count toward the requirements of the Facilitating Career Development (FCD) course and the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) certification offered by VCCS.

To complete VCCC, participants must sign up for one of the following cohorts and complete the required 10 hours of face-to-face training in addition to the 30-hour online modules:

* In case of cancellation due to inclement weather, a make-up session will be held on March 5, 2020.

Registration must be completed via this registration webpage. Participants are expected to attend the two face-to-face sessions assigned to their cohort and should plan accordingly. All VCCC face-to-face sessions will be held at the VCCS Office at the Arboretum in Richmond from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

When participants register for the face-to-face training sessions, instructions will be provided to register for the online training modules, which are provided by the third-party World Education organization. The cost of the online modules is estimated at $102. Participants should register and pay for the online training modules before attending their first face-to-face session.
